Conference on digital game-based learning
The goal of the Conference is to provide a floor for deliberations on strategies, policies and best practices of Information and communications technology (ICT) application in education, as well as on development and implementation of innovative teaching and learning methodologies.
The conference is a platform for constructive dialogue on recent trends and innovative approaches in efficient use of ICT in education among policy-makers, academic community, representatives of the private sector and potential partners.
The conference focuses on policy dialogue with regard to ICT use in education. The participants also debate on the potential of ICT and analyze the existing experience in information resources and technologies application to ensure accessible education for all, including disabled people, as well as women and girls.
What’s happening now
Conference on digital game-based learning «Game ON!» is organized in collaboration with Youth Time Movement and Lomonosov Moscow State University. Now conference entered the active phase of its realization. We have successfully reached agreements with the leading universities and leading business companies in Russia, who have necessary experience in the field of gaming. The conference is expected to become an efficient international ground for the interaction of education and business spheres representatives, software manufacturers, coach practitioners and students.
Within the Conference it is planned to host several plenary sessions as well as roundtable discussions on following issues: «Methods of developing interactive computer technologies in education», «Application of gaming technologies in business», «Interactive technologies in journalism and PR», «Interactive technologies in elementary education», «Interactive technologies in secondary and technical education», «Specificity of applying gaming technologies in university education» etc.
Invited experts of the Conference are foreign professionals in gaming technologies in education such as Maja Pivec, one of the world experts in game mechanics in education, professor of FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences, Austria; Ayelet Weizman, an expert in the field of applying gaming methods in science, professor of Israel’s largest Research and Training Center – the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; Maria Kordaki, an expert in educational computer games, professor of the University of the Aegean, Greece; Rob van Kranenburg, the project manager of «the Internet of Things» within the European Union programme, Belgium.
