17 – 19 October 2014 the most diligent Youth Time (YT) activists nominated by the YT President to be an exclusive representative of the movement in their region gathered together in Bordeaux (France) to take part in the first Youth Time Ambassador Meeting. The main goal of the event was to discuss how YT changed since the moment it was founded and elaborate the plans of the further development of the movement.
Youth Time Ambassador is appointed by the Youth Time President for the term of one year to be an exclusive representative of the movement in his or her region. In the event of a Youth Time Ambassador violating the terms set in this agreement, Youth Time has the right to terminate their position as Ambassador.
Youth Time Ambassador is responsible for:
- professional and proactive attitude and complete dedication to Youth Time;
- answering calls, emails, and requests from Youth Time team promptly and fully;
- respecting deadlines set by Youth Time;
- not engaging in any type of promotional marketing or selling of any product or service through Youth Time platform;
- authorizing Youth Time to use his or her name, photo, and biographical data for the purpose of Youth Time promotion through its website, social media and printed leaflets.
- promoting Youth Time projects and values in his or her region and on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and other local platforms;
- promoting Youth Time print or online magazine in his or her region and on social media;
- offer Youth Time presentations, participating in youth-related events in his or her region;
- facilitating new professional relations with potential partners, supporters, and friends for Youth Time;
- assisting Youth Time team in planning and organizing events;
- promoting and actively assisting Youth Time in delegate recruitment and support;
- overseeing participants’ active engagement throughout Youth Time events;
- encouraging networking and socializing among participants during Youth Time events;
- every two weeks reporting one’s progress on encouraging, assisting, and promoting Youth Time events during the application call period;
- submitting a monthly progress report in line with the provided format;
- agreeing to offer his or her time and effort voluntarily, without receiving a financial compensation.
In return, Youth Time provides its Ambassador with:
- opportunity to be a representative of Youth Time;
- opportunity to contribute to the development and planning of Youth Time events;
- opportunity to become a Youth Time Ambassador in the future;
- funds to cover the participation fee to one Youth Time event per year;
- priority to participte in Youth Time events;
- opportunity to attend an Ambassadors’ meeting in Prague;
- the official certificate after successfully completing a year as a Youth Time Trainee.
YOUTH TIME GLOBAL FORUM 2015
Date and place: October 28-31, 2015, Barcelona, Spain.
Participants: around 100 young people from all parts of the world.
Theme: The New Era of Employment and Education: Solutions for Change
Result: During the forum, youth from all over the world presented 16 projects. Only the best were honored with four awards: a realization grant for the best project, two fully-paid scholarships to the Anglo-American University in Prague, Czech Republic, and a six-month-long paid internship at the IES consulting company in Barcelona.
HAMBURG SUMMER SCHOOL
Date and place: June 18-22, 2015, Hamburg, Germany.
Participants: 30 most active young people from different countries.
Theme: Crisis and Society: Issues of Management
Result: Participants are equipped with the necessary skills to build collective forms of thinking, and they had the opportunity to study key approaches to public diplomacy, conflict resolution, social integration, and stereotype elimination. They were encouraged to think beyond their regular daily reasoning in order to take context-sensitive actions in response to social crises and conflicts. More precisely, they took part in various workshops and training sessions that included team-building interactive activities, collaborative participation and feedback exchange, They had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of negotiating skills and stress management, two essential topics that are pressing issues in our fast-paced world.
YOUTH TIME AMBASSADORS MEETING 2014
Date and place: October 17-19, 2014, Bordeaux, France.
Participants: 8 Youth Time Ambassadors from different countries+7 special guests.
Theme: The First Youth Time Ambassadors meeting.
Result: Participants defined the features of YT and its specific place in the world of NGOs. They were agreed that YT is a dynamic youth-led initiative that empowers, engages and inspires young people from around the world in a powerful and innovative way. As work output there was provided a short definition of YT: “An international NGO founded by active young people to provide unique opportunities for youth to shape their future, independent of any political or governmental influence”.
Having discussed ambassador’s special responsibilities and privileges participants defined their concrete personal impact and possible partners that can be attracted to develop YT activities in different countries.
After summing up the results ambassadors were given specific tasks to be complete before
deadlines in the nearest months.
V RHODES YOUTH FORUM
Date and place: September 25-29, 2014, Rhodes, Greece
Participants: over 100 participants from 43 countries
Theme: Positive participation of young people in the life of society: from individual initiatives to collective cooperation.
Result: This year the forum has become a platform for presentations in three different spheres: Youth Diplomacy and International Relations, Modern Learning Environment and Social Entrepreneurship. The winners from India, Morocco, Nepal and Slovenia will implement their projects in 2015. Interview and Q&A sessions have let participants to ask specific questions and get straight answers from honorable guests, CEOs and experts in business, marketing, international relations, information warfare and social entrepreneurship. During the Global Roadmap of Youth Initiatives 2021: Occupation of the Future participants had a chance to build a picture of the nearest future and set long-term goals. Joint Session with WPF “Dialogue of Civilizations”: Collective Memory: How to avoid the future conflicts?” has opened an intergenerational dialogue. All the participants with the help of young facilitators have shared their views on the past conflicts focusing on the results of the I World War. Working together both youth and elder generation have analysed negative and positive scenarios of the world development and designed a detailed proposal on how to avoid possible conflicts in future.
SIENA SUMMER SCHOOL
Date and place: June 20-24, 2014, Siena, Italy
Participants: 15 active members of the YT Movement + 15 newcomers
Theme/Goal: Work. Life. Balance. Test/Taste your life! The goal was to study current trends, acquire knowledge and develop skills to manage time for work and life and strike the balance among various life spheres.
Result: In the “Work” part of the School participants learnt how to perform successful public speeches and presentations. In the “Life” part they discovered the basic secrets of the art of interview and improved their “hear-and-listen” and time management skills. On the third, so-called “Balance” day, participants will also had a chance to conduct their own workshops and hold a roundtable discussion on the topic “Work and Life Integration. How to be a Human Being”.
INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FORUM “NEW PARADIGM O FEDUCATION: EUROPEAN DIALOGUE”
Date and place: November 25 – 28, 2013, Paris, France
Participants: More than 50 young researchers, teachers, representatives of institutions, NGO and business, media–professionals and young community leaders from 23 countries.
Theme/Goal: To expand the youth’s possibilities to play a constructive role in changing the educational paradigm; to unite young people from different countries and open the dialogue on problems and hassles which faces the education nowadays; to define basic requirements from different stakeholders of education and to introduce young leaders as an active part in co-designing the education of the future.
Result: As the outcome of the Forum participants issued the Paris Youth Declaration "New Paradigm of Education" where the youth vision of education presented.
IV RHODES YOUTH FORUM
Date and place: September 28 – October 1, 2013, Rhodes, Greece
Participants: More than 100 young activists, experts, and guests from 46 countries
Theme/Goal: Modern Youth Society: How to Build and Be Involved? / To discuss various issues that affect the future (digitization and other transformations of the modern society, challenges in intercultural and international relations, the role of young people in the society) and find joint fresh solutions.
Result: Four of sixty presented during RYF 2013 projects were awarded with financial grants. Young leaders from all over the world shared their personal intellectual efforts to prepare the “World Roadmap of Youth Initiatives 2021”, which summed up forum discussions, and the Youth Declaration on Education.
DUBROVNIK SUMMER SCHOOL
Date and place: July 21 – 25, 2013, Dubrovnik, Croatia
Participants: 30 active members of the YT Movement
Theme/Goal: To train new skills and invoke knowledge of YT activists in aspects of the social work, such as: creation and promotion of NGOs, fundraising, networking and social entrepreneurship.
Result: YT members developed their skills in the field of social work and got basis to develop quality of implementation of their own projects as well as projects of the movement.
III RHODES YOUTH FORUM
Date and place: September 28 – October 1, 2012, Rhodes, Greece.
Participants: 126 people, among them: 88 young activists from countries, experts, VIP guests, journalists and members of the media team.
Theme/Goal: This year the format of the forum was changed. It became more strategic and had practical approach. YT gave a chance to young activists to present their projects in 4 fields: Education and Employment, Intercultural Projects, Media and Social Projects, Improving the Quality of Life.
Result: The preference was given to the most outstanding and socially significant projects. The winner projects from Lebanon, Nepal, Russia, Zambia, India contained proposals for establishing Youth Resource, implementing peaceful journalism, conducting games to raise social awareness of ecological issues, creation of a clothes bank.
STIRIN SUMMER SCHOOL
Date and place: 15 – 19 of July 2012, Štiřín, Czech Republic .
Participants: 30 active members of the YT Movement.
Theme/Goal: To train YT activist’s skills in such areas as organizing youth conferences, high level discussions, and social projects.
Result: A team of professionals is formed to carry out and implement YT projects.
INDIA YOUTH FORUM
Date and place: March 29 – April 1, 2012, New Delhi, India.
Participants: 232 young activists, experts, VIP guests from 39 countries and students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi).
Theme: Country and Society of My Dreams.
Goal: Develop new general models of the new society of the XXI century.
Result: A global project “The World of My Dream” helps to create and visualise an image with ideal countries.
II RHODES YOUTH FORUM
Date and place: 10 – 14 of October 2011, Rhodes, Greece.
Participants: More than 150 young enthusiastic people from 50 countries.
Theme: Range of possibilities for the future of young people.
Goal: Joint search for development scenarios of the future.
Result: Creation of 12 positive scenarios of the development of the future.
ALTAI SUMMER SCHOOL
Date and place: 15 – 21 of July 2011, Altai, Russia.
Participants: 50 active members of the Youth Time Movement.
Theme/Goal: Teaching members of the movement practical skills in the creation and implementation of youth projects.
Result: Creation of the Youth Time asset, which takes part in the realization of a majority of the movement’s projects.
INTERNATIONAL CONCEPT COMPETITION: “SPACE AND THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY”
Date: April 2011
Participants: More than 400 young designers and journalists from 14 countries.
Theme: Space and the Future of Mankind.
Goal: Attract the youth to designing the future of civilization, taking into account development of the technological progress.
Result: 17 authors of the best articles and design works were awarded the grand prize – a trip to the launch site “Baikonur” (Kazakhstan).
THE RHODES YOUTH FORUM
Date and place: 3 – 6 of October 2010, Rhodes, Greece.
Participants: 150 young activists from 34 countries.
Theme: Working-out a scenario of the world community development.
Goal: Involve the youth in the process of the solution of global problems and working-out scenarios of humankind’s development in the future.
