Girl Friendly School Sanitation Improvement Project

The ‘Girl Friendly School Sanitation Improvement Project in Far Western Nepal’ will be implemented in the schools of two municipalities of Far Western Nepal i.e. Amargadhi municipality of Dadeldhura district and Dipayal Silgadhi municipality of Doti district. The main reason behind choosing these districts is because of the extremely poor sanitation condition and to address the deeply rooted traditional practice called ‘Chhaupadi’ (isolating girls and women from the outside world during their menstruation) which prevails here. Frequent absenteeism of girl students during their menstruation has posed threat in achieving the Millennium Development Goal 2 i.e. attainment of universal primary education in Nepal.

EVENTOR is an online platform created by youth for youth.

Mission of EVENTOR is that students and youth to have a space where they can find the needed information for different opportunities and events all over the world, as well as this space will be an important space which will serve different people and organizations to promote their events and opportunities.

In October, 2010 in Greece, on the Island of Rhodes the first Rhodes Youth Forum took place. The Forum was initiated by World Public Forum “Dialogue of Civilizations” (WPFDC) in 2009 on the 7th Annual Session of the Rhodes Forum (www.rhodesforum.org) as an institution aimed to involve the modern youth in the analysis of the global dialogue of civilizations agenda and to develop prospective strategies for the harmonious progress of the humanity.

The second session of the Rhodes Youth Forum will take place from October 10 to 14, 2011 on the Island of Rhodes (Greece). The participants of the session consist of more than 150 socially active young people from 50 countries around the world. The central theme of the meeting is range of possibilities for the future of young people. In 2010, the first Youth Forum proposed a structure which would support the activities of the Rhodes Youth community on a permanent basis. This decision became a reality on 11 December 2010, in Prague. Representatives of youth from different countries have established an international youth movement, Youth Time, a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political association of young people.
